Five pacing tricks that keep a game from getting boring

Each demo runs the same short session twice, sped up so a few seconds stand in for several minutes of play. The left side has the trick switched off and the right side has it on. Everything else is identical: same seed, same bot. The line under each side is live intensity, and every ◆ marks the moment something new appears.
