What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for slot-machine style rewards, wins and spins: bright, jingly, celebratory and satisfying. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - reel-spin: Slot machine reels spinning: a fast steady stream of mechanical clicks and whirring, seamless loop of about four seconds. - reel-stop: A single slot reel stopping with a solid mechanical clunk, under a quarter second. - lever-pull: Pulling a slot machine lever: a springy metallic ratchet and clank, about one second. - coin-drop: A single coin dropping into a tray with a bright metallic clink, under half a second. - coin-shower: A big shower of coins pouring out with many bright clinks, about two seconds. - small-win: A short bright bell jingle for a small win, about one second. - big-win: An exciting fast rising bell and synth fanfare for a big win, about three seconds. - jackpot: A long celebratory jackpot fanfare of ringing bells, rising arpeggios and sparkle, about five seconds. - near-miss: A tense descending tone for a near miss when the last reel just misses, about one second. - bonus-trigger: Triggering a bonus round: a swirling rising shimmer into a bright bell hit, about two seconds. - wheel-tick: A prize wheel spinning past a peg: a short wooden tick, under a tenth of a second. - bet-button: Pressing the bet button: a chunky bright click with a soft chime, under a quarter second. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I made all 12 sounds and saved them as WAV files in sounds/. I couldn't listen to them, so I checked them by other means: the lengths are right, the loudness is measured and balanced, the loop point lines up, and the spectrograms look as designed. You'll want to listen to them yourself to judge the feel.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 2 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
