What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a monster game with made-up creatures: growls, slimes, bugs and ghosts, all clearly synthetic. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - monster-growl: A low rumbling monster growl made of rough filtered noise and a wobbling deep tone, about one second. - monster-roar: A big creature roar: a loud harsh noisy burst that swells and drops in pitch, about two seconds. - small-critter: A tiny cute creature squeak, a quick rising and falling chirpy tone under half a second. - slime-move: A slime blob moving, a soft wet squish with a short bubbly wobble, about half a second. - slime-pop: A slime enemy bursting with a wet pop and a quick spray of bubbles, under a second. - insect-buzz: A large insect buzzing past, a nasal sawtooth drone that wobbles and fades, about one and a half seconds. - insect-click: A bug creature's clicking mandibles, a fast run of dry hard clicks, about half a second. - ghost-wail: A ghostly wail made of a hollow wavering sine tone with airy noise, rising and fading over two seconds. - ghost-vanish: A ghost fading away, a soft shimmering whoosh that falls in pitch into silence, about one second. - creature-hurt: A creature getting hit, a short harsh squawk-like tone that drops sharply, under half a second. - creature-death: A monster dying with a gurgling falling growl that sputters out, about one and a half seconds. - lair-ambience: A creepy creature lair with low drones, distant drips and faint scuttling clicks as a seamless loop, about eight seconds. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I made all 12 sounds and saved them as WAV files in sounds/, named as you listed. I can't listen to audio, so I checked them by measurement only: none clip, every file starts and ends at silence, and the end of the ambience loop matches its start. Please give them a listen before using them.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 4 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
