What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for an industrial factory or automation game: heavy machines, metal, steam and alarms. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - machine-loop: A large factory machine running steadily with a rhythmic clunk and a low motor drone, a seamless loop about six seconds. - factory-floor: A busy factory hall bed with layered motors, distant metal clanks and air hiss, a seamless loop about eight seconds. - conveyor-belt: A conveyor belt rolling with a steady rattling rumble and regular small roller clicks, a seamless loop about four seconds. - hydraulic-press: A heavy hydraulic press slowly pushing down with a rising hiss, then a deep metal thunk, about two seconds. - steam-vent: A pressure vent releasing a loud burst of steam that tapers off into a soft hiss, about two seconds. - metal-stamp: A metal stamping machine striking a sheet in one sharp, heavy clang with a short ring, under half a second. - factory-alarm: A factory warning alarm: a harsh repeating two-tone buzzer, loud and urgent, about two seconds. - shift-horn: A long low industrial horn blast marking the start or end of a work shift, about two seconds. - robot-arm: An assembly robot arm swinging into place with a smooth servo whine and a soft mechanical stop click, about one second. - item-produced: A finished product dropping out of a machine: a quick metal clunk and a bright short ding, under one second. - machine-startup: A big machine powering on: a low motor winding up in pitch with clanks until it settles into a hum, about three seconds. - machine-jam: A machine jamming: grinding metal, a stuttering motor and a final clunk as it stops, about two seconds. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I've made all 12 sounds and saved them in sounds/ as 16-bit, 44.1 kHz mono WAV files. I couldn't listen to them. I checked them by measuring loudness over time, looking at spectrograms, testing that the loops join cleanly, and confirming nothing clips. Please give them a listen in-game.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 5 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
