What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a game with robots and giant mechs: servos, stomps, beeps and metal. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - servo-move: A small robot servo motor whirring briefly up and back down, about half a second. - mech-step: A giant mech footstep, a deep heavy metal stomp with a hydraulic hiss after it. - robot-beep: A small robot talking in three quick friendly beeps of different pitches, under half a second. - robot-alert: A robot spotting an intruder, a sharp two-tone alarm beep repeated twice, about one second. - power-up: A robot powering on, an electric hum rising in pitch to a bright click, about one and a half seconds. - power-down: A robot shutting down, a whirring tone sliding down slowly into silence, about one and a half seconds. - laser-shot: A robot arm cannon firing a short laser zap, quick bright and falling, under a third of a second. - metal-hit: A bullet or punch hitting thick metal armor, a clanging ring with a short dull thud. - robot-explode: A robot blowing up, an electric crackle followed by a crunchy metal blast and scattered debris clinks. - hydraulic-press: A hydraulic piston extending and locking, a hiss followed by a heavy clunk, about one second. - transform: A robot transforming, a quick series of mechanical clicks, whirs and clunks, about two seconds. - factory-hum: A robot factory floor with steady machine hum and rhythmic clanks as a seamless loop, about six seconds. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I made the 12 sounds and saved them as WAV files in sounds/. I checked them by measurement only (lengths, levels, how the endings fade, and the loop join). I haven't listened to them, so give them a listen before they go in the game.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 2 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
