What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a spaceship piloting game seen from the cockpit: humming systems, beeps, thrusters and alarms. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - cockpit-hum: A spaceship cockpit bed: steady low engine hum with faint electronic chirps, seamless loop, about six seconds. - main-thrust: Main engines firing up to full thrust: a deep roaring swell that settles into a strong rumble, about two seconds. - side-thrusters: Small maneuvering thrusters: two quick hissing gas bursts of slightly different pitch, under one second. - hyperspace-jump: Jumping to hyperspace: a long rising whine that snaps into a huge stretched whoosh and boom, about three seconds. - hyperspace-exit: Dropping out of hyperspace: a fast falling whoosh ending in a soft low thump, about one and a half seconds. - docking-beeps: A docking guidance system: steady beeps getting faster as the ship lines up, ending on a long tone, about three seconds. - scanner-sweep: A ship scanner sweeping the area: a soft sonar-like ping followed by a rising electronic scan tone, about two seconds. - warning-beeps: A cockpit warning: three urgent high double beeps, about one second. - hull-alarm: A hull breach alarm: a pulsing harsh low two-tone siren, seamless loop of about two seconds. - airlock-cycle: An airlock cycling: a heavy clunk, a long air hiss draining away, then a door unlocking thud, about four seconds. - cockpit-switch: Flipping a cockpit toggle switch: a solid plastic click with a tiny electronic chirp, under a quarter second. - comms-open: Opening a comms channel: a short burst of radio static and a soft two-tone chirp, under one second. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

All 12 sounds are in sounds/ as 44.1 kHz, 16-bit mono WAV files. I haven't listened to them. My checks were numerical: every file has the requested length and no clipping, the loudness-over-time shapes match the descriptions, and both loops join cleanly at the seam.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 3 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
