What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a tense stealth spy game: quiet, precise, with sharp alerts. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - footstep-soft: A soft careful footstep on a hard floor, a quiet muffled tap, very short. - silenced-shot: A silenced pistol shot, a quick muted puff with a small mechanical click. - guard-alert: A guard spotting the player, a sharp sudden rising stab tone, under half a second. - guard-suspicious: A guard getting suspicious, a short questioning two-note tone going up, quiet and tense. - alarm-siren: A base alarm siren, a loud wailing tone sweeping up and down, seamless loop of about two seconds. - lockpick: Picking a lock, small delicate metallic clicks and scrapes, ending in a soft click, about one and a half seconds. - keypad-beep: Pressing a keypad button, a short clean electronic beep, under a tenth of a second. - door-slide: A security door sliding open, a smooth pneumatic hiss with a heavy click at the end, about one second. - takedown: A quiet takedown, a muffled low thud with a soft scuffle, under half a second. - gadget-ping: A spy radar gadget scanning, a soft sonar-like ping with a fading echo, about one second. - hidden-safe: Returning to hidden status, a calm soft descending two-note tone, under one second. - tension-bed: A quiet tense background bed, a low pulsing hum with faint ventilation hiss, seamless loop of about eight seconds. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I've made all 12 sounds and saved them in sounds/. I couldn't listen to them, so I checked the files with a script instead: every file opened correctly at the length you asked for, and both loops join end to start without a jump.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 2 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
