Game UI and menus sound effects: 11 free sounds from one prompt
Play 11 game UI and menus sound effects that Claude Code made from one prompt. Copy any sound's prompt, or download the pack as WAV files.

What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a polished modern game's menus and interface: clean, subtle, short. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - click: A crisp, tiny button click. - hover: A barely-there soft tick when the cursor moves over a button. - confirm: A positive two-note confirm, rising. - back: A soft, falling two-note sound for going back or cancelling. - error: A low, short double buzz for something you can't do. - toggle-on: A small switch flicking on, slightly higher pitched. - toggle-off: The same switch flicking off, slightly lower pitched. - notification: A gentle, friendly notification ping. - purchase: A satisfying purchase sound: a soft coin clink and a sparkle. - slider-tick: A very short tick for each step of a volume slider. - open-menu: A soft airy whoosh for a menu panel sliding in. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”
What happened
- Wrote one small Python script with a shared set of tones for every button sound
- Measured the loudness of each sound
- Found the error buzz much louder than the rest and turned it down
Menu sounds play far more often than anything else in a game, so these are short and quiet. The hover tick is barely there, and the slider tick lasts 25 milliseconds.
The toggle pair is one sound at two pitches: on goes up, off goes down.
We gave the prompt to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It took under 2 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.
Every sound is also in the sound effects library, next to the sounds from the other packs. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
