What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a cute virtual pet care game: soft, bouncy, happy little bleeps and gentle feedback. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - pet-happy: A happy pet chirp made of quick rising bouncy synth blips, under half a second. - pet-sad: A sad pet whimper made of slow falling soft synth tones, under one second. - pet-hungry: A small pleading two-note synth beep from a hungry pet, under half a second. - eat-crunch: The pet eating food: a few soft cute crunchy nibbles, about one second. - drink-slurp: The pet drinking: a few soft bubbly gulping blips, about one second. - pet-pat: Petting the pet: a soft fuzzy rub with a tiny happy sparkle, under one second. - bath-bubbles: Giving the pet a bath: gentle splashing with many tiny popping bubbles, about two seconds. - sleep-snore: A tiny cute snore made of a slow soft rising and falling hum, about two seconds. - toy-squeak: A bouncy rubber toy squeak made of a quick bending tone, under half a second. - level-up: A cheerful sparkly jingle for the pet growing up to a new stage, about two seconds. - poop-clean: Cleaning up after the pet: a quick soft swish with a bright clean sparkle, under one second. - menu-pop: A soft round bubbly pop for tapping a menu button, under a tenth of a second. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

I made all 12 sounds as WAV files (44.1 kHz, 16-bit mono) in sounds/, plus the script that builds them, make_sfx.py. The script needs only Python, no extra libraries, and running python3 make_sfx.py remakes the whole pack in under a second. I checked file lengths, loudness and end-of-file clicks with a script, but I haven't listened to any of them, so give them a listen before using them.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took under 2 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
