What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a game with changing weather: rain, wind, thunder and storms, mostly seamless background loops. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - light-rain: A soft light rain on leaves and ground as a seamless loop, about six seconds, gentle and steady. - heavy-rain: A heavy downpour with dense hiss and close splatters as a seamless loop, about six seconds. - rain-on-roof: Rain drumming on a thin roof from indoors, with soft irregular taps, as a seamless loop about six seconds. - gentle-breeze: A calm breeze with slow soft swells of airy noise as a seamless loop, about eight seconds. - howling-wind: A strong howling wind with rising and falling whistles as a seamless loop, about eight seconds, cold and lonely. - storm-bed: A full storm bed of heavy rain, gusting wind and a faint low rumble as a seamless loop, about eight seconds. - thunder-near: A close thunder strike: a sharp crack followed by a deep rolling boom that fades over about three seconds. - thunder-far: A distant thunder roll, low and soft with no sharp start, slowly fading over about four seconds. - wind-gust: A single sudden gust of wind that swells and passes in about two seconds. - hail: Hail pelting hard ground with many small sharp ticks over a hiss as a seamless loop, about five seconds. - drip: A single water drop falling into a small puddle, a short round plip under a quarter second. - rain-start: Rain starting up: a few scattered drops that build into a steady shower over about three seconds. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I made all 12 sounds and saved them in sounds/ (44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo WAV). I checked them by measurement only and haven't listened to them, so they still need a listen in-game.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 5 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
