What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for any game's scene transitions and motion: swishes, swooshes, risers, drops and reveals. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - whoosh-short: A quick light airy whoosh for a fast UI or object movement, under a quarter second. - whoosh-heavy: A deep powerful whoosh of low filtered noise passing by, about one second. - swish-up: A bright upward swish rising in pitch for something flying in, about half a second. - swish-down: A downward swish falling in pitch for something dropping out, about half a second. - riser: A tension riser of noise and a tone sweeping upward for building to a scene change, about three seconds. - downlifter: A falling sweep of noise and tone dropping away after a big moment, about two seconds. - scene-wipe: A smooth wide stereo-feeling whoosh for a screen wipe between scenes, about one second. - reverse-swell: A reversed cymbal-like swell of filtered noise that builds and cuts off sharply, about two seconds. - reveal-hit: A deep boom with a shimmering tail for a dramatic title or scene reveal, about two seconds. - fade-shimmer: A soft sparkling shimmer that fades in and out for a gentle dream transition, about two seconds. - zip-pass: A fast thin zip passing by with a quick pitch drop, under half a second. - portal-warp: A swirling warbling whoosh with a rising tone for warping to a new area, about one and a half seconds. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”

What happened

Claude
I've made all 12 sounds and saved them as WAV files in sounds/. I checked them by analysing the files (lengths, levels, frequency balance, mono, envelope shape), not by listening, so give them a listen before you use them.

We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 2 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.

Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
