Winter sound effects: 12 free sounds from one prompt
Play 12 winter sound effects that Claude Code made from one prompt. Copy any sound's prompt, or download the pack as WAV files.

What we asked“Make a sound effect pack for a snow and ice level: crunchy snow, cold winds, slippery ice and sparkling frost. Save each sound as a WAV file in a sounds folder, named like this: - snow-crunch: A footstep crunching into deep snow, a soft squeaky crumble about a quarter second. - ice-slide: A character sliding across smooth ice, a long thin scraping hiss of about one second. - ice-crack: Ice cracking under weight, a sharp brittle snap with a short ringing creak. - ice-shatter: A block of ice shattering, a bright glassy crash with tinkling shards falling, about one second. - snowball-throw: A snowball thrown and hitting, a quick whoosh followed by a soft powdery thump. - frost-spell: A freezing spell, a rising glassy shimmer that ends in a crisp crackle of frost, about one second. - icicle-fall: An icicle breaking off and dropping, a high snap then a glassy tinkle on impact. - sparkle-pickup: Picking up a snowflake crystal, a short sparkly run of high bell notes under half a second. - sled-ride: A sled racing downhill on snow, a steady rushing hiss with small bumps as a seamless loop, about four seconds. - blizzard: A fierce blizzard with roaring wind and whipping snow noise as a seamless loop, about eight seconds. - calm-snowfall: A quiet snowy night with a very soft hush of falling snow and faint wind as a seamless loop, about eight seconds. - shiver: A short shivering wobble of descending bell tones for a frozen or cold status, about one second. Make them sound like they belong to the same game.”
What happened
We gave the prompt above to a fresh Claude Code session in an empty folder, with no skills and no extra tools. It wrote a small program that makes every sound from scratch, and it took about 3 minutes. Claude can’t hear, so it checked the sounds by measuring them. Press play and judge them yourself.
Every sound is also in the sound effects library, where you can search all packs at once. They are free to use in your games, commercial or not.
